"FOUR FOR YOU, GLEN COCO! YOU GO, GLEN COCO!"
(In retrospect, I wish I had done hers before Elliot's April fools one, so I could follow up this post with "...and none for Elliot.")
So this morning, for Goose, I ran four miles in Somerville and Cambridge. Although I have a whole slew of songs that remind me of her, I didn't listen to any, because I was running with my teammates for most of it. But I was also really tired, since last night I was up late working on a paper that I put off (very willingly) to visit her this past weekend, so I wasn't talking much. But I was thinking of her!
I hadn't seen Goose for over two and a half years because until this past summer, she was in the Peace Corps in Kazakhstan. Yes, like in Borat. Yes, it is a real country. It looks like this.
But now she lives in Queens, just like Fran did in The Nanny, until she moved in with the Sheffields.
This is always my first thought when someone mentions Queens
Goose, in my opinion, is an incredibly brave person, because living in either of these locations sounds terrifying to me. So whenever I get nervous about Tanzania, I remember that Goose has done way crazier things, and realize it's gonna be okay. Or I just pop in about the great Animaniacs sing-along video she gave me when we were still in college. That usually calms me down.
(Tanzania pops up around 1:30... Kazakhstan is not there though... I guess this is pretty old)
And now, a picture of a goose:
